H&M Fashion Against AIDS campaign at the Isle of Wight festival 2010

We have been asked to supply 3 of our funky 3 step coffee tables for the H&M tent at the Isle of Wight 2010 festival!! This is H&M's third Fashion Against AIDS campaign, which includes the first festival collection, with 25% of the sales donated to youth HIV/AIDS awareness projects. “For me, festivals are unique and inspirational places as they join both music and fashion. To see your favourite bands, to see creative people gathered, all from different nations and with different looks really inspires me. It is very important to make people aware of the problem with AIDS and HIV and we want to contribute in the fight against the disease by donating some of the sales from this collection,” says Ann-Sofie Johansson, H&M’s head of design.
We at The Cool Wood Company believe this is a great cause and are delighted to be involved. Please follow the links below for more information on the Isle of Wight Festival 2010 and the amazing H&M campaign Fashion Against AIDS.

Volunteering for The Woodland Trust

We at The Cool Wood Company help support The Woodland Trust by donating £5  for every bed we sell, in addition to this we have also set up a trust fund which enables our customers or anyone for that matter to donate as much or as little as they want to help support The Woodland Trust, however some people prefer to offer their time and The Woodland Trust are currently looking for volunteers to help out.

Volunteers do many things across the whole of the Woodland Trust. Most of the tasks are not location specific and there are many that only require your time for a limited period, so you should be able to find something that suits you. As an environmental organisation they work remotely with the majority of their staff and volunteers, using email and phone as much as possible so it is likely that you will need to be comfortable working independently.

Find out more detail about the types of tasks our volunteers are involved with by clicking on the link below. If there is nothing suitable currently available please keep checking back here or set your preferences on the home page so you can see the latest opportunities on your own personal home page.
